From the moment I knew I was pregnant, I started planning Raff’s room. If I wasn’t a photographer, I would most definitely have gone to school to become an interior designer. I LOVE creating spaces.
First, I like to buy one key piece of furniture or select a theme and then work from there with everything else. In this case, it was the green wall. I am still totally obsessed with it (to the point where I painted my bedroom wall in this colour too) and I also knew I wanted a raw timber cot.
I jumped onto photoshop and started a concept, here is what it looked like:
I already had the black & white striped chair (This is a family heirloom that my Mum had reupholstered for me 9 years ago when I was pregnant with Missy) – So I had to make sure this BOLD AF chair fitted in with whatever I did. And I also needed to make it gender neutral as we didn’t know the sex of our little peanut.
So… here is the final product, and I have to say… It’s pretty similar to the initial concept and I’m over the moon!! The space is small, but it feels *so* homely and calm and I LOVE being in here.
