Hey Legend! Thanks for stopping by, if you're looking for a particular blog you can click the categories below for easy access!
This was my first ever elopement I shot. And since then, I have fallen deeply in love with the idea. The intimacy, and quiet surrounding Georgie + Kynan on their wedding day was unlike anything I’ve ever (EVER!) witnessed before.
It was literally just us, plus a celebrant and their two best mates standing in a open field. Mount Camel in the background serving as the most insane/beautiful backdrop you could hope for. Eerily quiet, just the wind and the trees, and two wonderful people telling each other how much they love each other.
Georgie and her best friend got ready at the cutest little cottage in Fosterville, Victoria. It was just the girls, their dresses, the land… no frills. It was literally perfect.
Georgie drove herself from the cottage to her property in Tooleen, shades on. Just doing her thing.
Georgie + Kynan live in a shipping container on umpteen acres in Tooleen, with their pet horses (and goat) – They are planning on building a self sustainable home in the location where they chose to set up their ceremony.
Surrounded by the most picturesque landscapes, there really isn’t a better place for these two to tie the knot.
Georgie (aka legend!) jumped on her horse, and rode herself up the aisle to her hubby-t0-be… and it couldn’t have been prettier.
Even when said horsey decided to go to the toilet on Georgie’s dress, she was all smiles and wasn’t phased in the slightest. Serious trooper!
Kynan walked up to meet her, helped her unmount, and they walked up to the alter together.
A true sign of what an amazing team these guys make. Totally independent, but so much love and respect for each other.
The ceremony was short and sweet and beautiful and… full of all the wonderful, happy feels.
These guys were just so cool, and laid back.
I feel so utterly privileged to have been present on such an intimate occasion. While I usually have a tonne of guests to hide behind and be in #StealthMode – This? Was completely different. It is actually indescribable in words, I can’t quite articulate how amazing it felt being one of only 5 people there on the day. Certainly a day I will never forget.
Georgie, Kynan…. Thank you! For inviting me into your tribe for the day and gifting me such a unique and amazing experience.
Wishing you all the happiness in the future, and hoping that council permit has come through so you can start building that home!
Big Love, Leah
~ xoxo ~
