What a couple! Brad is a larrikin, with the best Dad jokes. And Bronti the most loyal friend, devoted Mum and just a *really* lovely person in general.
Bronti and Brad met in 2011 when Brad was a customer at the restaurant where Bronti was working. She waited his table, and he knew the owners so called them later that night to ask for Bronti’s number. They now have two kids, and enjoy a beautiful life in Shepparton together.
On the day of their wedding, I started off with the boys, who were all getting ready at a Motel in Shepparton CBD. Brad handed out the boys gifts of personalised sunglasses and cigars as he got ready.
And with the boys ready, it was time to head over to Bronti who was at her home with her family and two beautiful kiddies.
Bronti’s dress was hanging beautifully in the front window, and I captured all the glorious details of her flowers and jewellery as well, while Bronti got the finishing touches on her makeup.
I don’t know what it is about a wedding day, but young children always struggle with it. They know something is going on. There are strangers in their home, asking them to do things, feeding them, dressing them. Young Alex needed her Mumma close on the day, and Bronti was only happy to oblige.
With the kiddies dressed and being looked after, it was now time for Bronti to get dressed and embrace the moment of being a Bride. She had her Sisters/Bridesmaids surrounding her, making sure everything was perfect and calming Bronti’s nerves (which were building by the moment!)
With Bronti dressed (and looking STUNNINNGGGG) it was time to jump in her transportation and head to the church!
I met Bronti at the front of St. Brendan’s church, where she was about to enter. She was breathing heavily, and starting to get emotional. “Nervo-cited’ as Pinkie Pie (from My Little Pony) calls it!
First came the Bridesmaids, in tow with Alex and Call. And then Bronti entered the stunning church, arm-in-arm with her Dad, with a smile as big as you’ve seen.
Brad, staring on impatiently, in awe of his beautiful Bride.
The ceremony was a formal affair, mixed with the laid-back vibes of Brad + Bronti. Every single family member and friend watching on with all the love and adoration as these two lovebirds declared their vows.
With the formalities complete, these two are finally, Mr + Mrs O’Connor!
They walked slowly back down the aisle, to be stopped and congratulated by all their doting family and friends. As they made it outside, the temperature was rising at a rapid rate. We decided to opt for anywhere in the shade for family photos – And with those done, we sent the guests on their way to the reception so I could have a little time with the Bridal Party to take some special snaps.
We started in the church, because HELLOOOOOO dark and moody lighting. Possibly some of my favourite wedding photos I’ve EVER taken in here!
As the ‘I Do Crew’ piled into their mini bus to head out to Kialla for some photos, I ran over and stopped Bronti to ask if she had seen the cute street sign painted on the side of the milk bar down the road. My Nana lived in Sheep until she passed away at the ripe old age of 101 years old, and I visited this milk bar every time we came. When Bronti started telling me that her Pop actually PAINTED that sign back in the day, I was blown away! What a small world, and what a beautiful way to celebrate and include him in their wedding photos!
A quick stop at the Lake…
And with everyone getting pretty hot and bothered, we headed out to The Woolshed to grab an icy cold drink and rehydrate.
The set up inside was amazing. This is such a cool venue! So much space, and such a cool vibe!
All the guests had arrived, and were sitting in their allocated seats – So it was time to be formally introduced! Brad + Bronti walked in with their two babes. Call was loving the limelight, and Alex not so much!
The newlyweds cut their cake, and went straight into their first dance, where the dance floor stayed full from then on in…
Including the cutest Mummy + Daughter dance!
Congratulations again, O’Connor’s!! Thank you for inviting me to be a part of such a beautiful celebration! Wishing you all the happiness in the world (which I know you’ll have as long as you have each other and your darling children!)
Big Love, Leah
~ xoxo !
