Hey Legend! Thanks for stopping by, if you're looking for a particular blog you can click the categories below for easy access!
Meaghan and Shea would have to be one of the most chilled out couples I have ever worked with. They were so happy to be led by my experience, and just go with the flow and their kicked back vibes made working with them so much fun!
Massive thank you to our mutual friend Issy, who hooked us up!
Their brief for the day? Relaxed, fun and spending time with their closest family and friends… Including their little boy, Beau.
First up, as with most weddings, I drove over and hung out with the boys while they shared a beer and got ready at Shea’s family home in Strathdale.
As I walked in, I could feel the ‘Homeliness’ straight away and immediately felt at ease.
The boys were watching the cricket, and easing into the day.
His Brother, Taig and two of his mates helped him get ready and they shared a beer and a laugh.
There didn’t seem to be too many nerves, or if there was? Shea was good at hiding them!
Next up, out to Meaghan’s parents newly built home in Ascot. It’s always such a sigh of relief when you walk in somewhere with the most brilliant natural light, I knew it would be perfect to capture the girls (and Beau) getting ready.
Meaghan had her 2 sisters, and best friend by her side on the day, and provided such a calming support for her.
I don’t know what it is about wedding days and kids, but they ALWAYS know what’s up, and that routine you rely on? 9 times out of 10… Won’t work on your wedding day (Sorry, folks!)… Beau was alright, but a little clingy, a little sad and just trying to figure out what was going on! Meaghan stayed so calm though, my hat goes off to you woman!
But hey, they made for some beautiful Mummy & Son photos though!
Meaghan had hired the most beautiful vintage cars to get her around on the day (Bonnie & Clyde’s Car Hire for those of you asking) – And with that, we headed off to Muskerry!
A tiny little town on the outskirts of Bendigo, with the most beautiful bluestone church.
The day was HOT! Stinking hot. The guests fanned themselves with the wedding programs and stayed hydrated with the water provided.
The ceremony was beautiful, and finally they were Mr + Mrs.
Once the guests had left, we drove back into town to the reception venue in Huntly (Waratah Weddings) where we were able to use the beautiful property and original church for some photos.
This venue is SO beautiful!
And this couple is SO beautiful.
And all the things… were just SO beautiful!
So with time for a quick beer and toilet stop, we then snuck off down the road so Meaghan & Shea weren’t there when the guests arrived (You can’t make a grand entrance like that!)
This wedding gallery? One of my favourites of all time.
These guys clearly love each other SO much, and it’s just so evident in all of their photos.
It’s just so…. NICE!
Now… For that grand entrance I was talking about!
Where the couple were greeted by their Mum’s showering them with confetti.
Cam Tapp was on guitar.
Poss the legend was the MC of the night.
Speeches were HILARIOUS.
It couldn’t have been more lovely, really.
So… Meaghan and Shea, Thank you! For inviting me to be a part of this special day. For being cool, calm and collected all day and enjoying EVERY single second of it.
You are both such wonderful humans, and I wish you all the happiness in the world!
Big Love, Leah
~ xoxo ~
