Oh. My. Gosh. Is really all I can say to sum up this wedding, these guys, and this day!
Bree emailed be in October last year, and told me that her then fiancé, Jason had recommended she look me up (this NEVER happens!) and that was the best start to our conversation, cos it Made. My. Day! Bree knew they wanted to get married in Echuca or Moama area, but apart from that hadn’t made any plans as yet. As the emails went along, we chatted back and forwards and soon the date was set, and Dungula in Moama was the chosen location.
A couple of weeks before the wedding, we all caught up to run through and confirm everything, and Bree + Jason shared the sweetest news with me… they were pregnant! This must have been the year for it, because 3 of my Brides from last wedding season were pregnant on their wedding day! It makes it so special!
So first up on the day, as usual, I visited the boys. They were staying in this cool floating cabin at Moama on the Murray – And true to groom style, they were super chilled.
Might I add, looking mighty dapper in their Blue Briggins suits too!
The boys drank their great northern’s, and were just… hanging out. So normal, nothing to see here. Except of course, that they were looking SHARP. And Jason had a nervous smiley/laugh that I knew meant that he was actually a little nervous, and A LOT excited!
Off to the girls, and the vibe was pretty similar! No rushing around, everyone was calm and really? Just enjoying one another’s company. Bree had her Bridesmaid’s there with her, along with her Mum & Dad.
I say this all the time, but MAN is it soooo important to choose a bridal party that will make your day FUN! Bree + Jason chose SO well.
I smiled along with Bree as her friends helped her into her dress, and then I looked passed Bree, and saw her Mumma staring at her, so in awe of her beautiful Daughter. You’ll see the photo above, I think it’s so SO beautiful.
Bree… WOW! Just, wow. You looked SO incredibly stunning in your dress, and your flowers were just perfect.
As the time drew near, I was looking for any signs of nerves… and I really don’t know if I saw any! What I did see, was pure excitement & happiness. So many smiles & laughs in this string of photos, it’s totally infectious too. When I was editing, I found myself just sitting there like a noob, with a giant smile on my face.
The time was here… For Bree to walk down the aisle. These guys chose the beautiful Redgums area at Dungula, which, surprise surprise… Is surrounded by beautiful redgums. It had rained crazy amounts of rain in the week leading up to the wedding, so last minute changes were made so that these guys were to marry in a marquee, just in case it started to belt down again! The ground had been flooded too, so the marquee was SO needed!
My favourite thing to do as the Bride walks down the aisle? Look at the Groom.
So. Many. Feels.
Look at his face!!!!
The ceremony was beautiful. Styled to perfection, and a few happy tears from both Bree + Jason!
All the guests were sent off to the reception centre for canapé’s, and we hung around to make the most of this picturesque landscape with some bridal portraits.
Such a fun bridal party! And hat’s off to Bree’s BM Jana, who managed her Bridesmaid job like an absolute PRO while ducking in & out to care for her newborn babe! Seriously, you did an AMAZING job!
The reception was as beautiful styled as the marquee, with burgundy tones mixed with native’s and pastels. A+ on a STUNNING colour scheme!
The atmosphere was just so beautiful. I could feel the love in the air, and so enjoyed watching the connection between Bree + Jason, with their family and friends. Watching the interactions, and trying to guess the relationships is one of my favourite parts of the day! These guys welcome me into their fold, and treat me like family for this day – So it is my complete & total honour to capture these connections.
Bree + Jason…. Thank YOU! For being such wonderful people to work with. I know you have nothing but happiness & endless love in your future together, but also with your bundle of joy, due to arrive any day now!
You guys are the real deal, and I look forward to keeping up with all that life has to offer you!
Big Love, Leah
