…And welcome to LLP’s 2015-2016 wedding season – Hoorah!
Starting with a *BANG* is Matt + Elicia’s beautiful wedding.
Elicia & I were texting each other all week leading up to the day as to what the weather was going to do… Sunny & 25 degrees, Cloudy & 20 with a 50% chance of rain, 28 degrees and 90% chance of rain… Oh dear! Should I get a second shooter or bring someone along P-Diddy style as my umbrella holder? Nah, I’ll be right! Fast forward to the Bride + Groom, wedding party & yours truely doing a mad dash through Rosalind Park in the 5 minute down pour of rain – Worst. Timing. Ever!
Luckily the bridal party saw the funny side of it (even as their makeup ran and their dresses & suits were saturated), and as soon as the rain passed they got on with the show and allowed me to take the rest of their portraits… Luckily! Because some of my favourites are post-rain dash!
I hope you enjoy the images that were Matt + Elicia’s wedding day <3 …
Side note: See those Xbox controllers above? There was actually no Xbox!
Matt had an idea of a photo he wanted – So why not make it happen? How does that saying go… ‘Fake it til you make it’ ??? *Lolz*
Over at Elicia’s I walked in to a super chilled Bride having a port as she got her makeup done by the amazing Melinda Keighran. I walked up the hallway to say hello, and out of the corner of my eye I spotted (SO nosey!) this room, FULL of vintage radio’s. You see, Ken (aka Father of the Bride) has collected for years & years, below you can see his extraordinary collection.
The ceremony & reception were both held at Bendigo’s stunning All Season’s Conservatory – The ceremony taking place on the steps of the atrium, the perfect backdrop for them to announce their love for one another.
And that they did.
You can see so much in Matt’s eyes as he sees his bride walking down the aisle *Swoon*
Inside was just as beautiful, with “Bling” (as Elicia names it) the theme of the table settings & decor.
So… The story of how they met…
Elicia + Matt met when they were both working at Armaguard, so naturally we had to make a pit stop and take a few photos of the place where *it all began* – GREAT IDEA!
Then off to Rosalind Park for some lush greens & rustic backdrops
All in all – a cracking start to my wedding season I say!
Congratulations again to you, Matt + Elicia. A *BEAUTIFUL* wedding, but even more… a beautiful couple!
Cheers to you!
